At La Vibe Events, LLC, we are committed to making our photo mirror experiences as accessible and enjoyable as possible for everyone. We believe that celebrations should be inclusive, and we strive to remove barriers to participation for individuals with disabilities.
While we do not own a fixed venue and operate by setting up our photo mirror at various client-selected locations, we are dedicated to ensuring our service and equipment meet high accessibility standards where within our control.
Our Commitment to Inclusivity
-
Service Design: We design our photo mirror setups with accessibility in mind, aiming to accommodate a wide range of needs.
-
Customer Support: We are here to assist you! If you have any specific accessibility requirements or questions, please contact us in advance of your event so we can discuss how best to accommodate you.
-
Ongoing Improvement: We are continuously learning and seeking ways to enhance the accessibility of our services and operations.
Photo Mirror Accessibility Features (Within Our Control)
Our photo mirror setup typically includes features designed to enhance accessibility:
-
Open-Air Design: Our standard photo mirror setup is an open-air design, allowing for ample space for wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility aids to maneuver around and in front of the mirror. We do not use enclosed booths that might restrict access.
-
Adjustable Camera Height: Our camera systems can be adjusted to accommodate users of varying heights, including those seated in wheelchairs or children, ensuring everyone can be properly framed in their photos.
-
Accessible Screen Interaction: The interactive touchscreen interface is designed with a user-friendly layout. We aim to position the interactive elements within an accessible reach range (typically between 15 and 48 inches from the floor) whenever feasible, depending on the setup space.
-
Clear Visuals: Our screen interfaces use clear, high-contrast visuals and large text to assist users with visual impairments.
-
Simple Instructions: We strive to keep instructions on the screen and from our attendants clear, concise, and easy to understand.
-
Props: Our selection of props includes items that are generally easy to hold and manipulate. If you have specific needs regarding props, please let us know.
-
Trained Staff: Our on-site attendants are trained to assist all guests respectfully and efficiently, offering support and guidance as needed to ensure a positive experience.
Venue-Specific Considerations & Client Responsibilities
As a mobile service, the overall accessibility of the event experience is also dependent on the accessibility of the chosen venue.
-
Venue Selection: We encourage our clients to select venues that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and offer accessible routes, entrances, restrooms, and clear pathways.
-
Setup Space: Clients are responsible for ensuring the designated setup area for the photo mirror meets our minimum space requirements (8 ft x 8 ft flat, dry, level surface) and has clear, accessible pathways leading to it.
-
Power Access: We require access to a standard, grounded 3-prong electrical outlet within 15 feet of the booth location. Clients should confirm the venue can provide this accessible power source.
-
Outdoor Events: For outdoor events, clients must provide a covered, weatherproofed area. We cannot operate on uneven, soft, or unstable surfaces that may pose accessibility or safety risks.
-
Communication with Venue: We can collaborate with clients to communicate our setup needs to the venue, including discussing accessible placement and power requirements. However, the ultimate responsibility for venue accessibility lies with the venue and the client.
